FAQs
FAQs
Can I bring my dog?
Because we are a food market, dogs aren’t allowed in the actual Market. Exception is given to service dogs. However, we love our canine friends, so are very happy for your pooch to be tied up the front fence (at your own responsibility) and we will water and pat as time and need dictates.
Are there EFTPOS , ATM and credit facilities?
Many vendors accept Eftpos and credit/debit cards, and some give Eftpos cash out, but CASH is the best monetary medium to bring to the Market. The closest ATM is in George St or at Countdown CBD about 5 minutes walk away.
Are there places to park?
The OFM has parking facilities in and around the actual Market site. Never more than a 2-minute walk.
Does the market still go ahead if it's raining?
In over 20 years, we’ve only cancelled the Market once, due to a civil emergency & also over Covid lockdowns. Regardless of what the weather is doing, our vendors are dedicated to being there.
Can I smoke / vape at the market?
Because we are a food market, smoking / vaping is not permitted within the Market site.
What if I lose something?
If you lose something at the Market, please notify Market personnel in the Site Office at the main entrance. They will take your details, in case it gets handed in. If you find something at the Market, please hand it in at the Site Office. All eftpos / credit cards and valuable items are handed into Dunedin Central Police Station on Gt King St on completion of Market.
Is there a map that shows where all the stalls are located?
Absolutely! This is available every week from the Site Office situated in at the front entrance.
Will there be live entertainment?
The OFM is famous for showcasing both travelling musicians and local Dunedin troubadours.
Are there vegetarian / vegan breakfast and brunch options available?
Are there what! Dairy and meat-free options abound.
What about gluten free options?
Again you will be spoilt for choice.
