Freshly made bagels toasted and topped with delicious, tasty fillings. Great coffee using beans freshly roasted from Vanguard and local milk from Holy Cow.
Evi Van Zyl brought the popular Hussey & Laredo caravan earlier in 2022 & renamed it Bagelo’s which specialise in filled bagels, coffee & now fresh doughnuts which Evi bakes with decadent fillings. Her background as a pastry baker in Indonesia brings her love of baking in. She also makes her own tempeh which is made the traditional Indonesian way with a peanut sauce all made from scratch. Evi includes various Market vendors ingredients such as the Whitestone Cheese haloumi, Butler’s raspberry jam, home-made custard made from Holy Cow milk, Harbour Fish salmon and others for the fillings. Coffee is from local roaster Vanguard Coffee with a selection of milk including Holy Cow’s jersey milk.
The most popular bagels are the Salmon and also the BLT, all served & prepared in their bright yellow classic caravan at the south end of the Railway platform from 8am Saturday mornings with the help of her husband Pieter. There is a mug basket in front of their caravan & you are encouraged to use your own mugs if you wish.
Everyone is always greeted with her friendly smile & bubbly personality. Evi enjoys the Market as everyone is so happy, she says.
