Method

  • Tear the kale into large chunks, leaving the stalks behind
  • Toss in oil and season
  • Transfer to a shallow tray in a preheated oven and baked for 4-5min before checking every minute
  • These burn easily and then become bitter
  • Adjust seasoning and serve
  •  

Comments

Kale can be bitter, but toasted it becomes super savoury, and extremely moreish. These make a great addition to a fish and chip supper. If you opt to crumb your fish you can do the whole lot in the oven.
