  • Makes 2 Mugs
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cloves
  • 1x star anise pod
  • 2 Tablespoons coKo Lounge Cacao
  • 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 cups of hazelnut mylk (Ronia & Pippi)

Dark Spice coKo Lounge Hot Chocolate

Method

  • Put cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, star anise, cacao and maple syrup in a large saucepan with 250ml of water
  • Bring to a gentle boil over a medium heat
  • Stirring until maple syrup and cacao are dissolved
  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes
  • Stir in the hazelnut mylk and continue to heat for a minute or so, until barely simmering
  • Ladle into mugs
  • Can also be enjoyed served chilled with a few ice cubes
