Method

  • Preheat your oven to 200°c Score each chestnut with a cross using a small sharp knife
  • Roast in a shallow dish for 30-40 min
  • Peel warm, removing the thick skin and white inner pith
  • Serve as a snack with a little flaky salt or as an interesting addition to roast vegetables, stews and casseroles
