Ingredients
- Plums, stoned and roughly diced
- Apples, peeled, cored and roughly diced
- 1Cup cream cheese, room temp
- ½tsp each of ground cinnamon,
- cardamom, cloves, ginger
- or 2tsp mixed spice
- a dozen wonton wrappers
Spiced plum sweet spring rolls
Method
- Preheat your oil to 180°C
- Unless you are using a thermostatically controlled fryer, do not take your eye of it
- Whip up the cream cheese with your chosen spices
- Leaving a 1cm border smear the bottom third of each wrapper with a dollop of the creamed cheese mixture, top this with a spoon of the diced fruit
- Roll up the wrapper, tucking in the edges half way
- Deep fry 3-4 at a time, depending on the size of your size of pot
- Remove from the oil and drain well
- Spritz with lemon juice and dust with icing sugar
