Ingredients
- 1 head broccoflower (Oamaru Organics)
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- zest of half a lemon
- juice of 1 lemon
- 2 garlic cloves – peeled and crushed or grated
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 sprig of fresh thyme
- ½ cup tahini
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon chilli flakes
Whole Baked Broccoflower:
Method
- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees celsius
- Combine olive oil, zest and juice of lemon, garlic, chilli, paprika, thyme, tahini, salt and pepper and whisk until well combined
- Dip the head of broccoflower in the glaze and place in a lined baking dish with a lid
- Tip the remaining glaze over the top of the broccoflower
- Bake covered for 30 minutes then remove the lid, lower the temperature to 160 degrees and bake for a further 25 mins
- Check every 5 or so minutes during the last 20 mins of cooking to be sure the glaze isn’t burning
- Remove when golden
