Ingredients

  • ½ cup ground almonds
  • 50gm butter
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar, or rice malt syrup
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • 1 teaspoon ceylon cinnamon
  • 6 luisa plums (Ettrick Gardens)
  • Whipped cream and ground almonds to serve

Almond Stuffed Luisa Plums

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius
  • Soften butter, and combine with the ground and sliced almonds, brown sugar and cinnamon
  • Halve the plums and remove the stones
  • Place round side down in a baking dish and fill with the almond mixture
  • Bake in the oven for 25 minutes
  • Sere warm, topped with some whipped cream, sliced almonds, and a sprinkle of ceylon cinnamon
