Ingredients
- This recipe will use what is available from the Market on the day to make healthy bite-sized treats.
- 1-2 eggs (Agreeable Nature)
- Fresh black pepper
- Sea salt
- ½ cup cornflour
- Fresh herbs -Spring Onions (Janefeild Hydroponics)
- Za’atar (Abdal’s)
- Mix ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.
- 1.5 cups of seasonal Market produce can be added we used:
- Carrots (Ettrick Gardens)
- Broccoli (Oamaru Organics)
- Silverbeet (Oamaru Organics)
- Garlic (Wae Wae Permaculture)
- For cooking
- Olive oil (Dunford Grove) or ghee

Method
- Method Pick the produce you are going to use and wash it
- Evenly cut all produce (for consistent cooking)
- Add prepped produce to the base mix and then fold it in
- Let this rest for 20 minutes
- Heat the oil or ghee in a heavy base fry pan
- Create spoon sized balls and then flatten for cooking
- Cook small amounts at a time
- Dessert spoon sizes are perfect for treats
- Serve with your favourite condiments from the market – recommended Tartan Sari Chutneys
