Dunford Grove, alongside their award-winning EVO oil, produce a range of flavoured oils, some pickled olives and a lovely olive oil soap made from what would otherwise be wasted oil.

Stan Randle is an extremely interesting and versatile man. He was born, bred and educated in Dunedin, graduating from the University of Otago with a BSc before completing teacher training. His area of expertise is science and he eventually became Head of Science and curriculum development, as well as being part of other forward thinking educational initiatives at Dunstan College in Alexandra.

John and Heather Preedy have both lived in the Ettrick/Roxburgh area all their lives. In 1981 they bought the land where they are currently situated.

Just off SH1 just before Waikouaiti is the Evansdale Cheese factory. Cheese making is a fascinating process and Colleen Dennison – owner of Evansdale Cheese - is one of the longest serving cheese makers in the country.
